Namugaya Ruth – Uganda

Ruth, born in February 2020 and now in Pre-Primary 1, is a bright and cheerful child. She dreams of working in a bank and often cuts leaves into “money,” counting them with joy. Ruth also loves dancing and playing with dolls, showing creativity, playfulness, and a strong curiosity to learn and discover new things.

Challenges Ruth Faces
Ruth’s journey to school is filled with struggles. Her family often eats only once a day, sometimes not at all. They live in a small smoky room used as both kitchen and bedroom. Without school fees or supplies, Ruth dropped out in February 2025. Poor nutrition and harsh living conditions now threaten her dream and her future.
