In the rural and dryland regions of Kenya and Uganda, family farming communities face barren farmlands, water runoff, worsening climate change, limited regenerative farming skills, and widespread pests and diseases. Without climate-smart practices, vegetation cover, AI-driven tools, and reliable markets, farmers cannot create agricultural jobs, escape hunger, or overcome poverty. Yields have collapsed from 2,500 to just 200 kilograms per acre each year, fueling food insecurity, malnutrition, unemployment, and school dropout. Marginalized farmers—especially women, youth, and their children—carry the heaviest burden, enduring child stunting, job loss, and persistent hunger.

But we cannot do it alone. We need your support—as a partner, donor, or volunteer—to transform farming, restore hope, and build stronger communities.

Regenerative Farming

Civicom Aid trains family farmers in regenerative farming, guiding them to restore soils, improve water infiltration, enhance biodiversity, and build resilience to climate change. These practices raise yields, reduce water runoff, and protect communities from droughts and floods. By 2035, we aim to transition 20,000 farmers to regenerative farming—creating fertile soils, stronger harvests, and climate-smart rural communities that secure livelihoods, protect the environment, and safeguard future generations.

Vegetative Propagation

Civicom Aid equips farmers with vegetative propagation, enabling them to regrow trees from stumps, roots, or leaves to restore degraded lands. This low-cost method achieves up to 98% survival, enriches soils, conserves water, boosts harvests, and raises family incomes. By 2030, we aim to regenerate 10,000 hectares of farmland—expanding forest cover, strengthening climate resilience, and building rural communities that secure food, restore ecosystems, and protect the future.

AI in Farming

Civicom Aid trains family farmers in AI-driven farming, using digital tools to detect pests, identify diseases, and forecast weather with accuracy. AI provides timely solutions that reduce losses, raise yields, cut costs, and improve food security. By 2035, we aim to equip 120,000 farmers with AI-driven farming skills—building smarter farms, stronger families, and resilient agricultural communities that embrace innovation, strengthen livelihoods, and secure a sustainable future.

Bunds Propagation

Civicom Aid mobilizes communities to design and build half bunds that capture rainwater, allowing dormant seeds to sprout and thrive in drylands. These bunds sustain vegetation, raise tree survival rates to 95%, strengthen ecosystem resilience, and transform barren lands into fertile farmland. By 2030, we aim to restore 10,000 hectares of degraded drylands—building greener landscapes, revitalized farmlands, and resilient rural communities that secure food, conserve nature, and protect generations ahead.
