Civicom Scholars Fund
In rural areas of Kenya and Uganda, many students cannot continue their education due to unaffordable tuition fees, lack of books, or insufficient daily meals. For three out of five youths from low-income families, this leads to dropping out each year, limiting personal potential and reducing opportunities for their communities.
Without intervention, students will continue to leave school, families will remain trapped in poverty, national development will slow, and future generations will inherit cycles of hardship and lost opportunity. Communities will miss out on educated contributors who can drive innovation and growth.
Civicom Aid provides scholarships, school supplies, and mentorship programs that keep students in school. Youth need continued financial support, educational resources, and guidance to transition into higher education or gainful employment.
Civicom Aid requires funding, learning materials, and mentorship volunteers to ensure more students stay in school, complete their education, and gain skills for life and work.
Youth Digital Skills and Jobs
In slum areas of Bangladesh, Kaa Chonjo, Likoni, and Moroto in Mombasa, thousands of young people lack access to computer labs, STEM courses, digital job opportunities, and life skills. This leaves them unprepared for the modern workforce, excluded from the digital economy, and trapped in poverty.
Without support, unemployment will rise, inequality will deepen, and communities will lose the innovation and creativity of an entire generation.
Civicom Aid bridges this gap by equipping youth with STEM training, digital job exposure, and essential life skills. With access to labs, mentorship, and ongoing support, young people gain the tools to transition into meaningful work or launch sustainable businesses.
Your funding, technology donation, or volunteer mentorship makes this transformation possible—helping youth access digital skills, secure jobs, and create resilient futures
The story of Elizabeth MusembiÂ
I am Elizabeth Musembi, and this is my story.
As I can remember, my dream of becoming a teacher. I want to stand in front of a classroom, to guide children, and to inspire them as my teachers inspire me. But my journey is not easy.
Right now, I struggle with school fees, learning materials, and food. Many days I sit in class on an empty stomach, trying to learn while hunger weakens me. Some days I miss class, fall behind, and lose focus. When I am hungry I fear to start my dream by speaking to my fellow learners. Without support, I risk leaving school completely, and my dream will die.
But my story is not ending here. Civicom Aid is giving me a second chance. They support my education, provide materials, and bring back my hope. I am in grade 8 now in 2025, and I study with hope in my heart to become a teacher one day.
I will become a teacher, not only for myself, but also for children who, like me, who are thinking poverty can make dreams silent.
I still need support to achieve my dream. And I know I am not alone. Many students have the same problems like me. Help us by giving, by fundraising, by inviting friends, or by sharing my story—you will keep our dreams going on. With your help, we will make lost dreams to become new stars. Welcome!
